The humble toner has come a long way from the skin-stripping products we once knew them to be. These days, toners are full of active ingredients that nourish and soothe your skin.
Add to this the fact that they also prime skin to receive the full benefit of your skincare and it becomes clear just how indispensable toners are.
Summer is here which means we’re all spending more time in the sun. As much as we love the sun, and the sun loves us back, it’s important to protect our skin, to soothe it and assist its repair if it gets a little too much. This will ensure the health of your skin long term, reducing the appearance of pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles.
Here are my 5 favourite products for keeping skin healthy and glowing this season.
Short on sleep this silly season? One too many late nights or even a bit too much broken sleep, will familiarise you with dark circles, puffy eyes and bags. Luckily for us, there are plenty of ways to restore our eyes to their former beauty.
Summer is finally here which means long days, hours of idling in the warmth and plenty of beach time. However, we are constantly being told to protect ourselves against the sun, with an ever increasing level of SPF sunscreens on offer. We are also being told we need vitamin D from the sun for our health. So how do we do both? In this blog post I dive into the risks and benefits of the big orange ball in the sky, and how best to approach sunscreens.
One thing I love about the Clémence Organics range is that it’s so easy to get maximum value from them by making them multi-task. Not only can it save you money, but it can give you more shelf space and reduce your environmental impact. Here are our top tips for multi-tasking with Clémence.
As the years go on, our skin tends to wrinkle – it’s just a fact of life and it’s not necessarily a bad thing. Many of the lines on our face tell of our experience and our wisdom. However, sometimes wrinkles are a sign that we’re not looking after our skin, whether it’s UV damage, smoking, or our diet. That being said, we aren’t out of total control, as there are plenty of daily habits we can adopt to slow down the process and maintain our skin health over time, ranging from the use of certain products to sleeping on our backs.
Wondering how to prevent wrinkles naturally? Here are 5 natural tips to help soften lines and keep skin healthy.
Persistent flushing, acne-like rashes, and swollen blood vessels are the bread-and-butter of rosacea – an inflammatory skin condition affecting a wide assortment of people. Though the condition is typically treated with medicated creams and oral antibiotics, there are plenty of natural lifestyle habits one could adopt to help prevent the condition from flaring up, ranging from foods to avoid, to a handful of stress management tactics.
Before we dive into these natural tips, here’s a quick insight into the various symptoms and triggers of rosacea.
Travel can be such a rejuvenating and nourishing experience – though unfortunately we can’t say the same for the flight. Whether it’s caused by the plane’s skin-drying air conditioning, lack of sleep, or free radicals running wild, our skin health can take quite the beating throughout a long haul flight.
Luckily, there are plenty of ways we can encourage skin health in the air, ranging from regular hydration to a nurturing serum. All you need is the proper in-flight skincare routine and a handful of skincare essentials by your side.
When I was creating my range of skincare products, looking after the health of my customers came first and foremost. So when I thought about what I would use to create healthy skincare, I thought of clean, pesticide and chemical free ingredients, and absolutely no added nasties. And there is no better standard of healthy skincare than certified organic. With September being Australian Organic Awareness Month, I wanted to take a closer look at certified organic skincare and what makes is so special.
The formulation of any certified organic skincare product is based on a blend of organic oils, butters, waxes and extracts. These must come from certified organic origins and make up at least 95% of the formulation. This is what makes certified organic skincare products so good as most commercial skincare products are primarily water and non-active fillers.
